Hey everyone! I apologize for the lack of activity, but I’m been working my butt off this semester trying to keep my grades up. After finals I should finally have free time to update/answer requests. Until then, have some motivational pics.

I’ve recently had a couple of people message me, taking issue with the blog. 
I understand their point. At first glance, this blog may seem self-serving, like I’m trying to take the attention/credit for someone else’s work. Some people are hardcore advocates for reblogging, and I agree. If you have the original source, you should always reblog. That person deserves all the credit they can for what they’ve done. 

Sometimes, however, I can’t find the original post and post the gifs anyways. I’m not trying to take credit, or hurt someone else’s reblog count. Not one bit. This blog’s goal is solely to bring Supernatural gifs together, so SPN fans can have easy access to URL’s when replying to posts. I’m not making any money off of this. I don’t mention my real name, and purposely refrain from promoting my personal blog. If anything, I put time that I should be using studying and working into this. But I do it anyways, because I enjoy it, and because I like promoting creative, interesting gifs.

Now, the majority of the people that have messaged me have been very polite. While they’ve openly stated that they think the entire thing’s abhorrent, and that they wish I would delete the blog, only one user has ever flat out insulted or sworn at me. While I’ve previously just addressed each complaint individually, I feel that it’s time to make my point loud and clear.

I understand if you disagree with me. I’m sorry. I personally feel like I’m not doing anything wrong. Some people have agreed to disagreed, and have been very respectful about the matter. Thank you. But to those of you who pitch tantrums and spam my inbox with dozens of hateful, trollish messages, you’re not only being disrespectful, you’re being downright hypocritical.

Every day, fans use material they openly admit isn’t theirs. They make gifs, music videos, fanfictions, and fanart without the express permission of the copyright holders. They’re not trying to take credit, or hurt their show’s sales. They don’t make money off of it, and their real life identities are rarely ever promoted. If anything, they put time they should be using studying and working into it. But they do it anyways, because they enjoy it, and they like promoting and discussing the fandom.

You want me to delete my blog? Fine. Just make sure you delete yours too. Your argument is the same one lawmakers use every day for deleting sites like Tumblr.

If you still disagree with me and would like to refute my position, I encourage you to do so. I promise I won’t be nasty about it. Discussion is a good thing. I will never post something you message me without asking first. It’s when you go out of your way to spam my inbox, all the while being too cowardly to even message under your own username, that I will think less of you.
